Day 7 of 31

Don’t you think its weird how the days seem to skip around like this?

Well, it’s been an eventful two days, but before I get started on that, a quick shoutout to another blog I stumbled upon (ahaha, see what i did there?)

I suppose that it was a respectable travel blog, going over some of the more interesting details of life, but the problem about it was that the same exact thing can be found everywhere. EVERYWHERE. The internet is growing old and large, looming over 2/3rds of a zettabyte, according to this study by Cisco, which is a pretty darn good company to be looking into this stuff. The point is, there isn’t that much new stuff on the internet. Any “amazing” ideas you are about to have have probably been done ages ago somewhere else better and faster than you have done.

Whelp, that’s depressing. I think existentialism is getting to me.

BUT, there is a purpose to this madness. See, the one true thing that we can have is our own voice. Nobody can take that away from you; nobody can duplicate that of you (unless if that somebody was a ditto, but then again those pokemon are jerks anyways) You have to put that voice into all that you do. “Absorb what is useful; reject what is useless; Add what is essentially your own.” Bruce Lee, link here.

So, yesterday I got pulled out to go to the Italian Consulate in Bothell, which was this tiny little bitty place in the middle of a village. That’s right, a village. They still have those things around here? There were literally chickens wandering around us as we talked! The interviewee was a funny man, pretty plump and happy throughout the interview. Of course, we forgot some documents, and forgot to make some photocopies….ah, such is life. Not much we could do about that, but just make more photocopies before sending it all out later that evening.

Managed to actually get quite a bit of “sleep” this afternoon. Thank goodness for a four day weekend coming up! There’s just so much to see and to do…. not sure how I’m going to manage it all.

Did you notice that when you put something in quotation marks, it immediately seems super suspicious?

Well, I suppose that I was actually watching The Avengers instead of sleeping, but that’s but a minor detail…

Just got a bit more English notes to go before wrapping up with a big bout of debate-speak. Gotta study, tourney coming in 2 weeks!
